Dr. Simon Kornberg was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia and attended veterinary school at the University of Melbourne. After graduation, he undertook a one-year small animal rotating internship at Queensland Veterinary Specialists and in small animal general practice. He then went on to work at the University of Melbourne as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in Geelong, Australia.
Dr. Kornberg received his advanced training during a three-year Neurology and Neurosurgery residency at Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine. While at MSU, Dr. Kornberg was part of a surgical team that performed a two-and-a-half hour spinal cord decompression involving three cervical vertebrae.
Immediately following his residency, he successfully passed the ACVIM Neurology certifying examination and was awarded Diplomate status.
