Literally, could not have better things to say about this facility....I brought Toby in a 3:30 am on February 20th. I had to drive 3.5hrs since I live in the keys and they were the only facility that could treat his paralysis. We came in panicked and scared but were met with kindness and calmness. Dr. Little and a technician performed a few tests on Toby and gave me an honest review on what I was looking at for his diagnosis and cost of treatment. We followed up with the head Dr. In the morning, Dr. Wong, for an MRI. After the results were in Dr. Wong came in and sat on the floor with us to talk me through everything and my one million questions. He was incredibly knowledgeable and down to earth, as was their entire staff. I left Toby there for about a week for in-house rehab, where my worries were eased by twice a day phone call updates and pictures of Toby's progress. I continued to drive up on my off days and stay in a hotel to be with him and learn some of his therapy moves. Toby came in not being able to walk on his hind legs and left the facility walking weird, but on his own, lots of work ahead! I have fallen in love with this facility and its staff SO MUCH that I asked if I could drive 3.5hrs just to job shadow here. I can promise you if you take your pet here, your pet's care will not be of concern. My Toby was loved on so much and treated with the utmost care. Thank you so much, Southeast Veterinary Neurology!!

Dr. De Pompa shows great knowledge and compassion for our sweet pup Xena. He even took time out of his off-day to check in on her and give me an update on her status. Lisa looked after me, bringing me coffee and snacks, as I was stressing out. Lovely facility. Thank you for being a wonderful practice.

I am so grateful to live in South Florida with access to such a wonderful practice! My beautiful 10-year-old cat Brooklyn was seen in early October for symptoms that began with a head tilt and eventually progressed to dizziness/unsteadiness and a general change in his behavior that indicated something was obviously very wrong. His MRI revealed a brain tumor, which was what I had feared. I had hope before I even arrived, however, as I had read a story on SEVN's website about a 16-year-old cat with the same diagnosis who came through the surgery with flying colors and was doing amazingly well just 5 days later. Dr. De Pompa performed Brooklyn's surgery on October 13th and today (October 29th) I am happy to say that he is like a new cat...or rather the cat he was when I first adopted him a year and a half ago. He had his post-op checkup earlier this week and will see the doctor again on November 17th. We are all very pleased with how well he is doing and I couldn't be more satisfied with the decision I made to go ahead with what sounds like a scary surgery! All that's left now is for his crew cut to grow out! Thank you, Dr. De Pompa and ALL of the staff at SEVN. What wonderful, caring people 🙂

The amazing, friendly and professional staff that will go the extra mile for your pet. We had nothing to say but just express our gratitude to them. We had our female dog taken to emergency. Dr. Kornberg was very helpful. He even worked on Sunday to looked at her because we were coming from the Bahamas just to take care of our dog. He always was willing to talk to us and explain us in detail everything. I highly recommend this clinic! 5 stars!

We were referred to Dr. Kornberg by our primary vet. Our little guy - Lil Champ - was in so much pain he couldn't walk and was whimpering all the time. He was lethargic and seemed as if he didn't recognize us. When we arrived at the clinic, the staff helped us get Champ out of the car using a stretcher. The staff was awesome!! They were so gentle with our Champ who was in so much pain. We immediately saw Dr. Kornberg. He listened while we gave details of Champ's problems. Then he did a thorough examination. I knew it wasn't good news. When I asked - Dr. Kornberg was honest - "I'm concerned" he said. An MRI revealed our Champ has a brain tumor. We left him at the clinic for pain management. I really thought I would never see my Champ again. Two days later, I was told that I could take him home. When I got there, I couldn't believe it - The pain was gone. Champ was walking, seeing - he was his old self again. Champ is starting a pill form of chemotherapy and Tuesday, he'll see an oncologist and hopefully start radiation therapy to shrink the tumor.I can't thank Dr. Kornberg enough. For whatever time he has left - I have my best bud back again. I have so much faith in Dr. Kornberg that I think Champ will be with me for a long time. Thank you, Dr. Kornberg and staff!

Wonderful knowledgeable and caring people! I drive from the Tampa area because they are much better than the neurologists in Tampa or Sarasota. They bend over backwards to work with my schedule and they are up to date with the latest research. They are also less costly than the neurologists in my area. I could not recommend them more highly.

Dr. Wong is the must-have neurologist when a member of your furry family is in need! Being new residents of Florida it was a tremendous relief when we were referred to Dr. Wong for the care of our 7 year-old beagle Miss Daisy Mae who suffered a slipped disk. Having been through a ruptured disk with our very first beagle many years ago, we knew we needed and wanted someone of Dr. Wong’s reputation and caliber. It was very important to us that he was board-certified in the field of neurosurgery. From my first emergency call to him that early Thursday morning, through her subsequent surgery, hospital stay and home recuperation, he was consistent in phoning us with daily updates and follow-ups later when she returned home. Dr. Wong was wonderful with Daisy. He got down on the floor at her level, sat with her and examined her. He was gentle, calming and patient with her and with me when I had questions or concerns. Dr. Wong explained his findings and prognosis and our options in a clear and concise way in a setting that was not rushed or pressured. We were able to come to a clear-cut plan for surgery and recuperation. Dr. Wong did an amazing job with our girl!

Dr. Wong is one of those professionals you want to run across when it matters the most. When you are dealing with your best friend’s health, you can easily make a big mistake pushed by your emotions or the sense of natural urgency your baby has. That’s when Dr. Wong shines. With a stunning professionalism and knowledge, he can go straight to the point without making you feel that you’ve been pushed to rush to surgery ‘just because it’s faster and easier’ like other medical centers throughout the county that have the reputation of ‘money makers’ while dealing with health and emotions. This is not the case with Dr. Wong. He is a Doctor—the kind of doctor you would like to have for your son, or your mother. We were so lucky to have met him while getting the best advice for our dog.

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ~ Albert Einstein /n My Doxie Oscar is about 7 years old and several weeks ago he started demonstrating pain while walking and lifting his head. I was referred to Dr. Wong. Before I even scheduled an appointment, I received a phone call from Dr. Wong himself and we briefly discussed Oscar’s condition. When I finally took Oscar in for an exam with Dr. Wong, I realized that his kind and personal approach to our case was unique and one that I had never seen in other veterinarians throughout the years. My past experiences have been like a factory or a drive through. I said to myself “This is a Doctor who truly loves and has an extreme passion for his profession.” Before I even decided that I would take the surgical approach to saving my dog’s life, I felt confidence that all would be ok. Oscar finally had his surgery, and today he is as if nothing was wrong. I would like to thank Dr. Wong for his extensive knowledge and most genuine disposition. You are truly a miracle and one that I wish there was more of in the world. We are eternally grateful to you for saving Oscar and now our family stays complete.

I carried my German Shepherd into Dr. Wong’s office on a Thursday and she walked out on her own four days later. He is such a skilled, professional and personable Dr.—I would give him more than five stars. The staff was also very nice and informative. There was someone with her 24 hours a day. I am in the medical field, so I am very careful about who I trust with my loved ones. Dr. Wong definitely has my trust.

Rebecca, Mark and Bandit
Bandit, my dachshund, was recently worked on by Dr. Wong. After coming home one evening to Bandit in a lot of pain and barely walking I took him to the ER. They set up an appointment with Dr. Wong the next day and spoke very highly of him. From the moment I met Dr. Wong, I knew Bandit was in good hands! He explained all the options and what conditions Bandit might have. After getting the CT scan results, we decided to go with surgery for his calcified disk herniation. Bandit could not walk and was in excruciating pain the morning I took him to see Dr. Wong and now just two weeks after his major surgery, Bandit can walk again! This is a miracle and it is all thanks to Dr. Wong. He is regaining strength. After having his surgery, he had 13 staples down his back and now you can barely even see a scar! People that have seen Bandit recently told me “I need that Dr. for plastic surgery!” Thank you again, Dr. Wong.

Dr. Wong is a superb doctor!!! We cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel for the treatment and support he has given our Great Dane, Krueger. He has accommodated his schedule for the best interest of Krueger. He has worked around the clock for him and takes his time to call and meet with us at any time. He and his staff have somebody with Krueger 24-hours a day and even made a special bed for him because he didn’t fit comfortably in the crate. I have never seen another doctor who goes above and beyond the way that Dr. Wong does. It would be our absolute pleasure to recommend him to anyone.

Bella
Dr. Wong is a truly remarkable and caring veterinary neurologist. He is very thorough and professional in his diagnosis and takes the time to keep you informed. Everyone in his practice makes you feel at home. Our Chorkie Bella was extremely sick when we took her to Southeast Veterinary Neurology. While others had given up on her, Dr. Wong quickly diagnosed her condition, and just a week later, what seemed impossible to us that first day became a wonderful reality. Today, Bella is again a happy puppy and we could not be more grateful. Dr. Wong, we cannot thank you enough. We are really lucky to have found you and Miami is lucky to have you!

I went to Dr. Michael Wong in Miami, FL after my 3 year-old Pekingese’s two back legs became suddenly paralyzed. We were extremely worried but felt extremely confident in Dr. Wong’s capabilities. He explained the possible outcomes of of my dog’s paralyzed legs, one of them being surgery. My dog was scheduled for an MRI that day and we received great news. He wouldn’t need surgery. He had a spinal stroke, still a very serious condition but a survivable one nonetheless. I have no words to describe the care and thoroughness of Dr. Wong’s work. He was very honest with us throughout the whole process, kept us up to date, and showed genuine devotion for our dog. I am extremely thankful for his work and would strongly recommend him for anyone in need of a Board-Certified Veterinary Neurologist.

Dr. Wong is an amazing doctor! He possesses the perfect blend of compassion and professionalism. We walked into his office expecting the worst, but praying for a miracle. Dr. Wong took the time to carefully explain his diagnosis, all of our options and our pet’s prognosis. Dr. Wong completed a 4-hour brain surgery, removed three tumors from our pet’s brain, and gave us the miracle we prayed for. Dr. Wong and his staff made a difficult situation less stressful. Everyone took the time to answer our questions and offer us support.

Snowbi
We have a 2 1/2 year old White German Shepherd that has been having seizures about once a month that last around 45 seconds. He would get the seizures once a month, but from 2 to 3 in one day. To see your dog go through seizures is not the prettiest sight you want to see. Our Vet here in Aruba suggested that we do an MRI on the dog. Since we do not have this type of service in Aruba, I began to search the Internet and saw several reviews of Dr. Wong at Southeast Veterinary Neurology. Reading the excellent reviews concerning Dr. Wong and his treatment of other dogs, we decided to contact him. From the moment we touched base with Dr. Wong, his concern was that of a person that sincerely cared about the well being of animals. When we told him of the problem our dog Snowbi was having, he contacted us right away and asked us to have our Vet call him. This we did and he recommended some medications until we could have the dog sent to Miami. We sent Snowbi and as we had planned a trip also to Miami, we met up with him at Dr. Wong’s office. Dr. Wong took the time to explain in detail what he wanted to do as far as tests and we agreed. The news was good, as he showed us the MRI. Snowbi had nothing wrong with his brain and with some medications, Dr. Wong’s target is that the seizures, instead of being once a month, that they be once every 4 months. Also, he wanted to try and get the length of the seizures to be less then 40 seconds. To make a long story short, Snowbi has not had a seizure in close to two months and we stay in contact with Dr. Wong. I strongly suggest that if your pet has problems and you cannot find out what is wrong with him, that you contact Dr. Wong. I have never met anyone that shows his passion of his profession through his treatment of the animal and with the knowledge of neurology. He and his team are caring people and we thank Dr. Wong for all he has done.

Dr. Wong is the best neuro specialist around!!!! I absolutely and highly recommend him!!! My almost 10 year old chihuahua stopped walking in a course of about a week. She kept folding her two front legs for a few days, so I took her to my regular vet. They gave her a shot of muscle relaxer and it seemed to help for a couple of days. The vet recommended I go to a neurologist so he referred me to a nearby one. That neurologist did a myelogram and found a mass on her spinal cord. I was told it was inoperable and to spend her last few days with her. I was absolutely devastated. I felt like I needed to keep trying, so I went to an oncologist to see what they had to say. The oncologist said that she needed to have surgery first before they can treat it. So that office referred me to Dr. Wong. I called him that same day and he was able to take me that afternoon. I honestly was expecting the same answer as the first neurologist so I really didn’t get my hopes up. However much to my surprise, Dr. Wong said that he was able to operate!!! He went over all the pros and cons of the surgery and gave me the weekend to decide. So, after a few days I decided to go with the surgery. It’s been 6 weeks since the surgery and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Not only did my baby recover 110% but she has been so happy!!! Dr. Wong is super sweet and treats his patients as though they were his own. I highly highly recommend him!!!!!

Woody
Our 10 year-old beagle, Woody probably suffered from neck pain for years. Finally his pain became so severe that his body shook and he had difficulty walking. We took him to Dr. Wong as a last resort. Dr. Wong diagnosed a herniated disk and operated on him. The surgery was a complete success. Woody is more active than he’s been in a long time. We are so grateful to Dr. Wong for restoring Woody’s quality of life. Thank you again, Dr. Wong!

Mr. A and Truman
Dr. Freeman and your team, I can’t thank you enough. Truman has gotten right back into his groove and we are going to enjoy each day for the gift it is, a gift we wouldn’t have if not for you. Truman had brain surgery on Tuesday and was home on Thursday afternoon, complete with his ravenous appetite and puppy-like playfulness. Here he is, going to town on a beef bone, happy and without a care in the world. Just wanted to share this and thank you all again for rooting him on through this. We’re thankful to God, to you and to the team at Southeast Veterinary Neurology in Miami for the incredible job they did for him… What a staff!!

Sonny
To Dr. Wong and the amazing staff at Southeast VeterinaryN: Almost one year ago to date, our sweet doxie Sonny awoke in severe pain, barely able to walk. My husband and I rushed him to our Vet, who gave us the ultimate prognosis that surgery was most likely necessary. We were then referred to Southeast VeterinaryN where Dr. Wong and his staff were not only insightful and thorough but extremely loving and caring of our case–after all, he is our little furry son! After undergoing IVDD spinal surgery, along with a few weeks of TLC and recovery at home, I’m happy to report (aside from a tiny scar that is barely visible) our sweet, playful Sonny is as good as new, playing and enjoying being part of our family again as if he never had the issue at all! I cannot thank you enough for bringing our boy back to health and most of all for your top care during a very scary time for my husband and myself. On behalf of our family and especially our sweet Sonny boy, THANK YOU!

Wilson
I cannot say enough great things about this practice. Dr. Wong, Dr. Freeman and your staff were exceptional in taking care of Wilson. Dr. Freeman communicated with me daily on Wilson’s status. Before I left with him, several of the staff were in the lobby saying goodbye to Wilson, so loving and caring. Things like this make a difference in our world. Dr. Freeman, I cannot thank you enough for helping Wilson. I am sure you will go far in this world with your expertise and kindness that you give to animals and their owners. Again, I say THANK YOU!!!!

Hazel
Thanks Dr. Freeman! I honestly can’t say enough good things about Southeast Veterinary Neurology. I had to take my three year-old dog to them on a Monday because the Pet Emergency Room had diagnosed her with a spine problem and told me if she didn’t have surgery, the problem could get painfully worse for her. I took her to Southeast Veterinary Neurology and Dr. Freeman did an MRI on her and highly recommended surgery. We ended up having to do emergency surgery on her spinal cord because her back legs had become paralyzed. She called me at work and carefully explained everything about the procedure. After surgery, she called me to check in and explain how the surgery went. Hazel had to stay with them for a couple of days following surgery, but we visited and realized that Dr. Freeman’s staff was just as awesome as she was. They constantly complimented how great my pet was and it was obvious to us that they treated her as part of their work family. When I was able to take her home with me, they made sure that we knew what was needed to nurse her back to her happy playful self. They also called to check in on me and my dog’s progress. Whenever we visited their office it felt like the entire staff stopped what they were doing to come greet us and walk our dog out with so much care. I could tell that they genuinely loved my dog and I knew they were taking the best possible care of her. While the price is expensive, it is 100% worth it. I always felt like they were looking out for my dog’s best interest. They encouraged me to stop in or call whenever I wanted/needed help or information. Dr. Ward was BEYOND phenomenal and was so informative. The front desk staff, Michelle in particular, was so friendly and warm and made me feel welcome every time I called or came in. I know that it’s traumatic to take your pet into an emergency clinic and even harder to receive news that you weren’t expecting or were dreading. However, everyone on this staff made sure that I was informed along every step of the way. I’m so grateful that we were referred here because I know that my dog was in the best care possible. Thank you to all the doctors and staff at Southeast Veterinary Neurology. You have been amazing!

Abbie
Doctor Wong saved our dog Abbie’s life. About a month ago she could barely move and was constantly crying out in pain. Our vets diagnosed her with a slipped disk as being the most likely cause and referred us to Dr. Wong After an MRI confirmed the diagnosis, Dr. Wong performed surgery bon Abbie to fix the problem. The day after surgery she looked better than she has in a month. Within two days you could not even tell that she had ever been in pain whatsoever. Every time we dealt with Dr. Wong or his staff they were extremely professional and courteous and you can tell that they are all in the business for the right reasons. They are obviously all animal lovers and took absolutely fantastic care of Abbie. They also answered all of my questions without making me feel like an idiot. I never had a problem getting a hold of Dr. Wong and he took quite a bit of time during the pre-surgical consultation to explain exactly what was wrong with Abbie and how he was going to fix it. He even spent about 30 minutes going over the MRI with me and showing me exactly what was going on with Abbie. My family cannot thank Dr. Wong and the staff enough for what they’ve given back to our family.

Reno
One day my wife noticed Reno couldn’t get off the couch without assistance and didn’t want to get in the truck to go to the dog park. Later in the day, she saw that Reno’s back legs were not moving and she was dragging her back legs. She took Reno to our vet who put us in touch with Southeast Veterinary Neurology. We were in touch with some companies that supply doggy wheelchairs, however Dr. Wong said that we would probably not need it. He called us after the MRI around 7:30AM which is not a good time to get a call when you are expecting bad news. He said everything was fine and he was preparing to operate on her. She has a very good recovery and is now walking and running again at the dog park. Sometimes I can’t catch her. This was the best decision we made having Dr. Wong handle the situation. We are very pleased with the results.

Jake
Before I write anything else, I want everyone reading this to know that Dr. Wong saved my dog’s life. Jake is a 12 year-old lab pit mix and I adopted him when he was a puppy prior to having my human children. Jake started dragging his toenails and X-rays did not reveal the source of his pain. We were giving him pain pills and shots and nothing was helping. Thank GD I was referred to Dr. Wong’s office. Dr. Wong himself returned my call on a Sunday morning. He spent more than AN HOUR talking to me on the phone about my dog (while I was sobbing) and told me to bring Jake in over the weekend for a consultation (the only time my husband was available to help me with him) even though consults are normally done during the week. Once at the office, I was sitting with Jake on the floor and when Dr. Wong came into the room, he also sat right down on the floor with us. This may be a small thing but to me it was a huge thing and indicative of the caring personality Dr. Wong possesses. He is an excellent veterinary neurologist and neurosurgeon and I immediately knew that Jake was in the best hands possible. An MRI revealed a slipped disk in Jake’s neck and Dr. Wong confidently told me he could fix it. I trusted him completely… so much so that I would let him operate on me. Jake received wonderful care at Southeast VeterinaryN and the staff were so wonderful… calling with updates, texting photos of Jake (he had to stay over 2 nights). They made me feel so much more at ease. Jake walked out of the office 3 days after his surgery and he’s totally recovered now. There is not a day that goes by where my family and I do not feel grateful to Dr. Wong and his staff. He saved Jake’s life and gave us more time with him… something we will always be thankful for. It is scary to think of your dog having spinal surgery, but know that he or she will be in the very best hands of a caring and compassionate surgeon. Dr. Wong is just the best there is.

Kirby
My 11 year-old dachshund, Kirby, lost the use of her front legs and began to lose movement in her back legs. I sought the advice of the president of Dachshund Rescue of South Florida, who works with Dr. Wong frequently with down dachshunds. She told me to immediately take her to him and that age did not matter as long as she was healthy. Dr. Wong evaluated Kirby, recommended an MRI to confirm his suspicion of a slipped disk and also confirmed that she would be a good candidate for surgery if her labs were normal. Dr. Wong’s work with the Dachshund Rescue of South Florida and the success he has had with those patients brought confidence in my decision to leave Kirby’s health in his hands. He is a wonderful vet specialist and his staff is also very cooperative and caring. I picked up Kirby 3 days after surgery and she was walking again. I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Wong at Southeast Veterinary Neurology at the slightest signs of back/neck injury.

Mrs. S and Remy
Dr. Wong is an extremely knowledgeable and compassionate healer. He took the time to fully and carefully examine our dog, Remy, to explain the diagnostic procedures and later to monitor Remy’s treatment and prognosis. Before ending each visit to his office, he gave us a documenting paper covering all that we had discussed verbally. We found his office staff to be very friendly, open to questions, and helpful in answers. I highly recommend Dr. Wong and Southeast Veterinary Neurology for excellent treatment.

About 6 months ago we began to notice that our dachshund, Bo, was not being as active as usual and was having weakness in his legs. We took him to his regular Vet who told us it was most likely his back. We started him on anti-inflammatories and restricted his jumping and running. Unfortunately, Bo deteriorated to the point where he would not walk and cried of pain. We immediately took him to several surgeons and got several opinions, none of which we were completely happy with until we met Dr. Wong. It has now been two weeks after Bo underwent his life-changing surgery and I am happy to report that Bo is doing FANTASTIC!!!! Bo had a severe disc herniation causing spinal compression. Dr. Wong used the most advanced technology, including high field MRI. We are soooooo happy with Dr. Wong and his office. They treated Bo as if he was their own. Dr. Wong has truly given Bo a new lease on life. We are so happy to have our happy, loving, energetic dachshund back to his normal self. Thank You Dr. Wong!

Words can’t explain how grateful I am. My dog Nano had a broke spine due to a car running over him. It was a horrible experience, especially during the holidays. Today, Nano came home and I couldn’t be happier. He is responding so well to the surgery since day one. Everyone at the clinic gave him love and treated him very well. I will have my fur child walking again in no time. Thank you Southeast Veterinary Neurology. My family really appreciates your efforts. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. (P.S. Nano made a full recovery and is walking well!)

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dr. Wong and his staff! I have a three year-old Dachshund that hurt his back and after two days couldn’t use his back legs. I was terrified. It was a Saturday and luckily I called a friend who referred me to Dr. Wong! I called the office and his staff was amazing. They relayed the information to Dr. Wong (who already had a full surgery day). They told me to come right over and that evening he was operating on my dog. He was extremely nice and confident that the surgery would be successful, and it was! I can’t tell you how grateful I am to him for performing the surgery… and two weeks later, my Dachshund Rico is back to normal. It was a traumatic experience but I feel very blessed to have found Dr. Wong in an emergency and will be forever grateful to him.

Dr. Wong and his entire staff are amazing. Our dachshund, Mia was in such severe pain with her neck. No injury that we know of. She was on so much medication and still very much in pain. We thought we would have to put her down. Dr. Wong was highly recommended to us. We got an appointment right away. We went from Boca Raton all the way to Dr. Wong. It was more than worth the trip! Either Dr. Wong or his staff informed of her condition the entire time she was there. Dr. Wong himself notified us of the MRI results. Mia is still doing amazing. Right after we picked her up we could tell she was no longer in pain. We highly recommend Dr. Wong. He is well worth the trip to Miami.

Our little rescue dachshund had been under excellent care for neck pain, but the pain persisted in spite of max meds. She grew to be in pain most of the time, walking with her head down and back hunched. It broke our hearts to hear her cry out. Upon research, we found Southeast Veterinary Neurology from the Dachshund Rescue of South Florida (DRSF) website. The care we received from the time we entered the Southeast VeterinaryN office, through the MRI and eventually surgery was nothing short of the BEST EVER!! The compassion, communication and professionalism is so evident by everyone who is on staff. Our little Daisy couldn’t have been in better hands. It’s ALL about the fur babies and their owners… “Thanks” somehow seems inadequate, but we are so very grateful to the staff angels at Southeast VeterinaryN along with Dr. Wong!!!!!

I have no words to express all my gratitude to Dr. Michael Wong. He saved our dog and with that he brought back happiness to our household. Dr. Wong is not only an excellent vet neurologist but a gentle and compassionate human being. He is also very good at explaining everything to his patients’ human companions. He even uses a whiteboard to explain everything step by step. Dr. Michael Wong is the best in his field. My Mother and I always keep him and his family in our prayers.

Dr. De Pompa and his staff are wonderfully amazing! After two weeks and several vet visits, I was referred to Southeast VeterinaryN. In two days, my dog was diagnosed and finally getting treatment. Baylee’s disease is lifelong but manageable with treatment. I am grateful to have such compassionate people caring for my Baylee and all the patience they have for me.

Samora
I have no words to express my immense gratitude to Dr. Simon Kornberg. He saw our baby girl Samora yesterday and from the moment he started taking care of her, I could see his devotion, dedication, caring and compassion he has for his job and patients. We don’t know if our girl is going to pull through but I am so confident that he is doing everything possible for her. As of yesterday afternoon, just a few hours after he took care of her, she is demonstrating a huge change for the best and today she’s even playful again. With that, he brought back happiness, smiles and hope to everyone in our family. Dr. Kornberg demonstrated to be an excellent vet neurologist and his compassion as a human being is admirable. He is amazing at explain everything that is happening with full detail to the patients’ parents. He is an amazing doctor and a human being. I don’t think I can find enough words to express how grateful we are for what he is doing for our family.

Words will never be able to describe how AMAZING this practice means to our family! My husband and I recently adopted a German Short-haired Pointer named Blitz. About a month ago we realized something was terribly wrong with her. We had just arrived at our home when she suddenly started experiencing seizure-like symptoms. She couldn’t walk, she was stiff, drooling and her gums were white. We immediately got in the car and took her to Knowles Animal Clinic. They ran a few tests and everything came back negative, which we knew wasn’t a good sign. They recommend we take her to Southeast Veterinary Neurology. We woke up the next day, called, and headed over. After CT, MRI and a number of other tests, we came to find she was born with a rare spinal deformity that is common in small dogs, but not in dogs her size. When we arrived to pick her up, we learned that her condition was so rare that many surgeons had only read it in literature. Dr. De Pompa and his team gave her a 50/50 chance with surgery, which was her only option. We had two choices: go through with the surgery or put Blitz down. We took her home that week and boy was it one of the most DIFFICULT weeks of my life. She was in SO MUCH pain, we knew we had to make a choice and make it quick. We prayed about it and the Monday before the surgery was scheduled we stopped by the office to discuss our options one more time and together we decided to give Blitz a shot. Not only did she make it through the surgery, but less than a week later she was no longer on her pain meds and she was up and walking! YES WALKING!! The team at Southeast VeterinaryN has been so AMAZING with her and I know that she feels the love and attention she receives every time we taker her in for her bandage change. Bliss is our Miracle pup and we thank God for the team at Southeast VeterinaryN. Worth EVERY penny!

We’d like to thank you Dr. De Pompa and all of the staff at Southeast Veterinary Neurology for their kindness, professionalism and dedication to our four legged son. We’d especially like to thank them for their care of Baby our Canine Terrier. The difficult time we were experiencing and desperation we saw him in suddenly fall and was complaining of pain on father’s day. We immediately visited his regular vet and they treated him until we started researching what his preliminary diagnosis was (IVDD) and what specialist in our area Miami, Florida specialized in Neurological Conditions. We immediate found SE Veterinary Neurology group with Dr. NICK DE POMPA May God Bless them all in all that they do and Dr. De Pompa for being so dedicated.

I have two simple words to describe this place: Professional and kind. When I stepped in the first time with my doggie, I was scared and stressed. Then I met the team and they were very reassuring and nice. I left Max knowing he was in good hands and all went very well. Now Max is recovering and doing very well. And I’m really thankful.

A very special thank you to Dr. De Pompa, Dr. Little and all of the technicians and staff at Southeast Veterinary Neurology for taking such great care of our maltipoo, Lambeau. The afternoon of NYE we were told by our local animal hospital that we needed to take Lambeau to get an MRI immediately or there was a serious risk he could be paralyzed. They recommended Southeast Veterinary Neurology. My husband and I were both in shock, scared and in tears when we walked into Dr. Wong’s practice, but the staff was calm, sensitive and kind. Both Dr. De Pompa and Dr. Little took the time to explain to us Lambeau’s condition and all of our options in layman’s terms. After an MRI Lambeau was diagnosed with severe spinal compression and he needed to go directly into surgery. If we had waited one more day, he could’ve been paralyzed. Lambeau could not have been in better hands. His surgery went very well and he is expected to make a full recovery. We are forever grateful for their care, compassion and professionalism from the moment we walked through the door on NYE. And it doesn’t stop there–ever since we have taken Lambeau home they are happy to answer any questions and assist in any way even if it is the middle of the night. This is a team of dedicated professionals who truly care about their patients and the owners and represent the best in their field. We were so lucky to find you guys. Thank you again for everything and all you continue to do.

There is without a doubt how pleased we are with Southeast VeterinaryN… We took our fur baby, Tyson there on Sunday for pain up by his neck. After an MRI procedure, it showed he had a slipped disk. Dr. Wong & Dr. Peress performed a ventral slot and within days our baby was feeling better and is recovering well back home with us. After 2-1/2 months we can hold our Tyson again without any pain. The staff at Southeast VeterinaryN made us feel so welcome & comfortable. Tyson was in good hands from the moment we dropped him off until we picked him up. Words & gratitude are not enough to say how we feel towards the whole Staff. Thank you for everything you have done for us & Tyson.

My dog Rocco has been seeing Dr. Wong and the wonderful staff of Southeast VeterinaryN since his diagnosis of epilepsy more than a year ago. Everyone has always been so wonderful and caring when it comes to Rocco. Little by little we are figuring out the perfect combination of meds to keep his seizures in check. Dr. Wong is extremely knowledgeable and understanding and tries to find the best option possible to make sure Rocco is as healthy and seizure free as possible. Couldn’t be happier with the level of service. Thank you!

We were referred to Dr. Kornberg by our primary vet. Our little guy – Lil Champ – was in so much pain he couldn’t walk and was whimpering all the time. He was lethargic and seemed as if he didn’t recognize us. When we arrived at the clinic, the staff helped us get Champ out of the car using a stretcher. The staff was awesome!! They were so gentle with our Champ who was in so much pain. We immediately saw Dr. Kornberg. He listened while we gave details of Champ’s problems. Then he did a thorough examination. I knew it wasn’t good news. When I asked – Dr. Kornberg was honest – “I’m concerned” he said. An MRI revealed our Champ has a brain tumor. We left him at the clinic for pain management. I really thought I would never see my Champ again. Two days later, I was told that I could take him home. When I got there, I couldn’t believe it – The pain was gone. Champ was walking, seeing – he was his old self again. Champ is starting a pill form of chemotherapy and Tuesday, he’ll see an oncologist and hopefully start radiation therapy to shrink the tumor. I can’t thank Dr. Kornberg enough. For whatever time he has left – I have my best bud back again. I have so much faith in Dr. Kornberg that I think Champ will be with me for a long time. Thank you Dr. Kornberg and staff!
